Op-ed on Human Capital in the Age of AI

An opinion piece by Marianne Magnin, Co-Founder and CEO of RIZOM, co-authored with Lydia Arzour, Chief Marketing Officer at RIZOM, has been published in Hello Masters, a leading publication for senior executives.
Entitled "When AI Optimises Processes, Human Capital Becomes Strategic Again," the article examines a profound shift that artificial intelligence is bringing to organisations.
It argues that as the same AI models, copilots and optimisation methods become widely available, processes gradually cease to provide lasting competitive advantage. Value instead moves towards the uniquely human capabilities that remain difficult to automate: judgement, interpretation, trust, coordination, and the ability to sustain coherence over time.
The article also introduces an emerging imbalance within modern management systems. Traditionally built on three complementary pillars (systems, processes and human organisation) they are increasingly concentrating investment on the first two. The strategic challenge is therefore becoming how to preserve and strengthen the third: human capital.
This publication forms part of RIZOM's ongoing work on enabling organisations to become AI-ready while remaining human-valued, and contributes to our broader research into leadership, organisational coherence, and the future relationship between human intelligence and artificial intelligence.
