How the RIZOM Dashboard turns metaphors into visible patterns

If the metaphoric practice reveals the curve of Meaning (and how continuity, consciousness and coherence give shape to it), the RIZOM Dashboard is the instrument that keeps that curve alive over time.

A team can begin the practice of attunement with prompts and reflections. But the moment more than ten people are involved, and more than a few days have passed, the field becomes too subtle and dense to hold in memory alone. Patterns would blur, tensions would go unnoticed, early signals would disappear.

This is where the RIZOM Dashboard becomes essential for organising the field behind the metaphors, making patterns visible, tensions traceable, and attunement durable. It is where symbolic insight meets mathematical structure.

1. It constructs a field-view of the group

The simple practice of metaphor-making gives each person an image. The dashboard weaves these images into a symbolic field that maps the topology of the group’s symbolic life. Individual expressions are tied together into a global picture.

This allows the dashboard to show:

  • The field-view, i.e. the collective consciousness of the group's “inner weather system”, as mapped in motifs (constellations)

  • Archetypes emerging from collective language

  • The symbolic posture of the team

  • Where energy concentrates

  • Where energy disperses

  • Where renewal is happening

2. It captures continuity across time

A single reflection tells you how someone feels. A mapped sequence shows you how they are becoming. The mathematical heart of this is very simple; with a sequence of reflections, one can detect how the group is turning and make that curve visible.

The dashboard tracks:

  • Recurrence of motifs

  • Drift in mood-topology

  • The “arc” of the cohort across sessions

  • Where pressure accumulates

  • Where renewal is taking hold

3. It measures coherence without asking for consensus

In the metaphoric practice, coherence is sensed informally. But groups often misread their own voice patterns: the loudest metaphors dominate, the subtler ones tend to vanish.

The dashboard checks:

  • How metaphors across a group echo one another

  • How often they diverge

  • Where attunement breaks

  • How large the gap is between leadership language and team language

By recognising shapes in the metaphor-space, the Dashboard tracks:

  • Collective coherence without enforcing agreement

  • Shared understanding without flattening difference

Coherence thus becomes a measurable, trackable dynamic.

4. It detects the places where attunement breaks

These are places where continuity and coherence fail to meet, so meaning cannot fully form as a shared curve.

The dashboard identifies how individual pieces fail to fit into a human group:

  • Mismatched images

  • Discontinuities between and event’s opening and closing reflections

  • Patterns that do not glue together

  • Sudden drops in symbolic alignment

  • Individuals who oscillate while the group stabilises

  • Groups that stabilise while individuals fracture

These seams are early-warning indicators: the places where culture is starting to fray. The simple practice can feel these faintly and often mobilises intuition. The dashboard shows them precisely, visually, in time.

5. It distinguishes constructive disruption from negative drift

Every team experiences disruption. Some disruptions regenerate, for example when a new member brings fresh capability. Others corrode, as when someone introduces predatory or destabilising behaviour. In ordinary conversation, it is remarkably difficult to distinguish one from the other.

The dashboard measures:

  • resonance (continuity)

  • shift (disruption)

  • whether the shift is constructive (moving toward clarity, repair, coherence) or chaotic

So the dashboard doesn’t just show change: it shows directional quality of change:

  • Are people unsettled in a way that leads to new insight and transformation?

  • Or are they unsettled in a way that leads to fragmentation and turbulence?

6. It safeguards the depth and resilience of the metaphoric practice by taking cognitive load away

Humans cannot hold more than a few symbolic patterns in mind. If 100 metaphors arrive in a week, most will be forgotten.

The dashboard handles the composition, so that people can stay with the experience, and leaders can focus on the light listening.

7. It creates a continuous loop between individuals and the whole

This is the Basho-loop™ principle operationalised:

  • Each person’s metaphor shapes the field

  • The field shapes how people understand themselves

The dashboard makes this loop visible, stable, and live. It enables the emergence of collective attunement: a group that can feel itself. This cannot be done manually: it requires a symbolic infrastructure (RIZOM Symbolic OS).

Bringing it Together

ree

Across these lenses, the RIZOM Dashboard makes visible - through KPIs rigorously anchored in mathematical structure - what the metaphoric practice alone cannot hold at scale: the arcs through which a group is moving, the places where alignment strengthens or loosens, the fractures at the seams, the disruptions that regenerate or corrode, the drifts that slowly reshape the field, and the topology of the shared inner weather forming between people.

What emerges is a structural readout of the group’s symbolic life: how experience accumulates, how awareness distributes, how articulation circulates, and where attunement settles or breaks.

The Dashboard’s indicators are rooted in these lived dynamics: continuity, coherence, resonance, stability, and the directional quality of change. They offer traces of evolution, drawn directly from the group’s own movements.
